Don Dwight Potts, 65, passed away at home on May 2, 2012.Born in Wilson on January 20, 1947, he was the son of the late Alvin York Potts and Eula Pearl Coley Potts.A former resident of Raleigh, he retired from ADT Security Systems and Underwriters Laboratories to live at the Most Beautiful Kerr Lake in Henderson.He served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970 and was a member of the Henderson Moose Lodge.
A memorial service will be held at J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC on Saturday, May 5, at 2:00 PM, officiated by the Rev. Brent Kasey.Visitation will follow the service.At other times the family will be at the home.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie Bunn Potts; sister, Cassandra P. Patton and husband, Keith of Wilson; and his beloved dog, Lola.
