Donald Walter Harris

HENDERSON- Donald Walter Harris, 57, of Briggs Road, died Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home. Born December 17, 1965 in Vance County, he was the son of Jenny Duke Harris of Henderson and the late Fred Walter Harris. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Prewer. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by his wife, Michelle Ross Harris of the home; two daughters, Brittany Morris (Justin) and Katie Brogden (Kyle), both of Oxford; a step-daughter, April Paschall (Curtis) of Henderson and a step-son, Brandon Edwards (Brittney) of Henderson; his sister, Lynn Adams (Scott) of Zebulon and nine grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, April Harris and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his mother, 5314 NC 39 Hwy South, Henderson. Serving as pallbearers will be C.J. Harris, Ryan Milton, Cody Patton, Lawrence Harris, David Strickland, Mike Ellis and Robert Roberson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, 165 US Hwy 158 Bypass, Henderson, NC 27537.
