HENDERSON- Mrs. Donna Jean (Gillispie) Burns, age 67, a resident of 950 Spring Valley Lake Road, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Huntington, WV on December 8, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Carvel Gillispie and Betty Hall Gillispie.Mrs. Burns was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church where she was active until her health declined.To honor her wishes, no services are planned.
She is survived by her husband, David E. Burns of the home; her son, Jeffrey David Burns and wife Ellen of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Robbie, Emily and Caitlin Burns; and a brother, Charles Gillispie of Ona, WV.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by a half-brother, David Allenby.
