Donnie Ray Crowder, age 63, a resident of 982 Faulknertown Road, died Friday, December 26, 2014, at his home.Born on November 3, 1951 in Northampton County, he was the son of the late Kelly McDaniel Crowder and Blanche Pierce Crowder.
Mr. Crowder was a self-employed mechanic.He was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church, member of the International Hot Rod Association and the Professional Drag Racing Association.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2 pm at Poplar Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony Evans.The family will receive friends immediately Donnie R. Crowder
following the service in the Fellowship Hall at Poplar Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Ward Crowder of the home; three sons, Mark Crowder (Jennifer) and Mike Grider of Henderson, and Jason ORorke of AK; one daughter, Rachel Tharrington (Shane) of Louisburg; and five grandchildren.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial be made to the Donnie Ray Crowder Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC27536.
