Dorothy Dot Abbott Abbott, age 84, a resident of 3878 Warrenton Road, died Saturday, December 6, 2014, in a local nursing home.Born in Vance County on April 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late David Lee Abbott and Lillie Mae Abbott, and was the widow of Warren Macon Abbott, Jr.Dot was retired from Roses Stores, Inc. and was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 PM in the Cokesbury United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Milton Abbott and Dr. Gene Wood.
She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Abbott Saunders and husband, Brent, of Henderson; one sister, Jean Abbott Hendrick of Henderson; and two grandsons, Thomas Faucette and Waverly Saunders.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, David Hunter Abbott and Dale Macon Abbott.
The family will receive friends at her home at 3878 Warrenton Road.
