Dorothy Stainback Twisdale

HENDERSON-Dorothy Stainback Twisdale, 87, a resident of 400 Rice Road, died Monday, November 20, 2017 at her home.Born on March 29, 1930 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late James C. Stainback and Lela Norwood Stainback.
Mrs. Twisdale was retired as a Head Supervisor at Russell Stover Candy Co. in Clarksville, Virginia and was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. John Yount, the Rev. Marshall Neathery, and the Rev. Calvin A. Brooks, Sr.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Twisdale Clifton and husband, Darius of Henderson; one son, James "Jimmy" Twisdale (Tracy J. Mosley) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Jamie Nicole Pendergrass, Ashley Michelle Clifton, Robert Hunter Twisdale, and Trevor James Twisdale.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Twisdale;
one grandchild, Staci Nicole Clifton; and three brothers.
The family will receive friends following the service at Island Creek Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home of Jimmy Twisdale, 440 Rice Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Keith Shumaker, Daniel Alston, Bryant Yount, Dale Reese,
Brian Reese, and Dwight Green.
