HENDERSON-Dottice Guill Nelson, 69, a resident of 1302 Railroad Street, died Thursday, February 28, 2019, at her home.Born on August 13, 1949 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late James Andrew Guill and Jeanette Wynn Guill, and was the widow of John William ?J.W? Nelson, Sr.
Mrs. Nelson was a homemaker and a lifetime member of North Henderson Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Jon Owens.
She is survived by one daughter, Amy N. Baggett (Ernest) of Henderson; two sons, John W. Nelson, Jr. of Henderson and James Nelson (Angela) of Fairborn, Ohio; one sister, Sharon G. Denny (Larry) of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher John Nelson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10:15 until 11 am at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at her home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children?s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
