Dottie Riggan Satterfield

Mrs. Dottie Riggan Satterfield, age 87, a resident of 985 Vanco Mill Road, and a former resident of Kemps Lane, died Wednesday, December 07, 2016 in a local nursing home.Born in Vance County on August 22, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Haywood Riggan and Lessie Currin Riggan.Mrs. Satterfield was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at J. M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Ronnie Matthews and the Rev. Pete Feagin.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Marian S. Shearin of Henderson; her son, Benjamin Wayne Satterfield of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her sister, Mae Abbott of Henderson. Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Amos W. Satterfield; a brother, Kenneth Riggan;a sister, Shirley Hunt; and her grandson, Willis Shearin, III.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home..At other times they will be at the homeof Marian Shearin at 985 Vanco Mill Road.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Hunt, Harold Hunt, Jr. David Medlin, Jordan Abbott, Thomas Franklin, and Robbie Ayscue.
