Dustin Storm "Dusty" Smith

HENDERSON-Dustin Storm “Dusty” Smith, 29, a resident of Alexander Avenue, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born in May 25, 1996 in Vance County, he was the son of Michelle Leigh Harris of Emporia, Virginia and Anthony Winston Smith, Jr. of the home. Dusty was a member of The Salvation Army where a memorial service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 12:00 PM by Major Jonathan Gainey, Major Staci Gainey, and Rev. Donnie Allgood. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Tony and Kathy Smith of the home, and Teresa Harris of Henderson; three brothers, Austin Ramirez, Raul Ramirez, and Michael Harris of Henderson; one sister, Alyssa Romero of Henderson; three uncles, Major Jason Smith and wife Major Melissa Smith of Ocala, Florida, Chad Harris of Henderson, and Jeremy Foushee of Maine; three aunts, Amber Harris, Angela Harris, and Jessica Foushee all of Henderson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Harris and Barbara Harris; one aunt, Tina Smith; and his great grandparents, Perry Journigan and Brenda Journigan. The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday at The Salvation Army. At other times they will be at the home on Alexander Avenue.
