HENDERSON - Mrs. Earlene King Allen, 86, a resident of Roanoke Ave. died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Maria Parham Health. Born on February 15, 1931 in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Otis King and Annie Blanton Padgett, and was the widow of Joseph W. Allen.She was retired from the former Com-Fo Hosiery Mill and was a member of West End Bapitst Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Ralph McGowan. Burial will be at Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by two daughters, Joette Allen of Henderson and Trudy Lowry of Kittrell; two grandchildren, Tracy Ayscue and J. R. Lowry; two great-grandchildren, Megan Ayscue and Dawson Ayscue; and two brothers, Goody King and Dicey King of Roanoke Rapids.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Allen.
The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the service from 12:30 untill 2:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Joette Allen, 830 Shirley Drive, Henderson.
