DURHAM-Eddie Ronald Burwell, age 64, a resident of The Brian Center of Durham, and a former resident of The Garden Walk Villas Apartments in Henderson, died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill surrounded by his family.
He was the son of the late Eddie Burwell and Esther Wright Burwell.He was a 1969 graduate of Henderson High School and retired from the former Lauren’s Inc. where he worked in maintenance.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of J. M. White Funeral Home by Prophet Harry Lee Williams.A private burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Mr. Burwell is survived by his son, Edwin Burwell of New York, New York; daughter, Kimberly Jackson of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren, Ashlee Jackson and Ananda Jackson of Fayetteville.He was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Cheatham and Deloris Rainey.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 10 until 11 AM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
