HENDERSON- Edgar "Jack" Sherwood Jackson, age 75, a resident of 3130 Southerland Mill Road, died Thursday July 17, 2014 at his home.Born in Vance County on December 14, 1938 he was the son of the late Edgar Stonewall Jackson and Shirley Overton Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a veteran of the United States Army and National Guard.He was a retired from Wal Mart where he worked as a truck driver.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held Sunday at 2:00PM at Sunset Gardens conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Judith Dickerson Jackson of the home; two sons, Kenneth Jackson and Dyral Jackson both of Henderson; a daughter, Kelly Pendley of Henderson; a sister Shirleen Crocker of Henderson; four brothers, Reavis Jackson, Jerry Jackson and Carl Jackson all of Henderson and Wayne Jackson of Franklin County; and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home, 3130 Southerland Mill Road, Henderson.
