EDISON ALVAH DUKE HENDERSON – Edison Alvah Duke, 95, of Alexander Avenue, died Thursday, April 3, 2025 at his home. Born October 23, 1929 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Vallie Griffin Duke and Tom Duke. He retired from Roses where he worked in the print department as a machine operator for 44 years. Edison was a member of New Lite Baptist Church, formerly Second Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Elmwood Cemetery by Rev. Marvin Ross. Edison is survived by his niece, Joanne Hendricks of Henderson and his nephew, Tommy Pace (Linda) of Henderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah D. Pace and Flossie D. Gupton; and a brother, Tom Duke, Jr. The family will receive friends following the service at Elmwood Cemetery and at other times at his home on Alexander Avenue.
