Henderson-Edna Leigh Martin Faulkner, age 88, a resident of 2109 Rock Mill Rd, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Born in Warren County July 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Willie Dalton Martin and Mary Mabel Hayes Martin and the widow of Marvin Edgar Faulkner, Jr..She was a homemaker and member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2 pm in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Bob Rose.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
Mrs. Faulkner is survived by her daughter Melba F. Seneff and husband, Russell of Smith Mountain Lake, VA; two sons, Reginald L. Faulkner and wife Sandra and Alan D. Faulkner and wife Lisa all of Henderson; two sisters, Myrtice Martin Richardson and Everlyna Martin Norwood both of Norlina; six grandchildren, Kenneth Roach, Sandra F. Lawhorne, Kalee Seneff, Trey Seneff, Coy Seneff and Zade Faulkner; and a great grandchild, Morgan Lawhorne.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Beverly Ray Faulkner; a sister, Louise M. Stallings; and two brothers, Willie D. Martin, Jr. and Reginald L. Martin.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 12:30 till 2 pm at J.M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Gene Richardson, Mark Faulkner, Don Faulkner, Wayne Martin, Jerry Stallings, Donnie Faulkner, Glenn Norwood, and Thomas Lassiter, Jr.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, 462 Oine Rd., Norlina, NC 27563.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
