Edna Roberson Nunnery

HENDERSON- Edna Ivora Roberson Nunnery, 94, of Dabney Drive, passed peacefully Sunday, July 30, 2023 at her home. Born October 19, 1928 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Lawrence Roberson and Leolar Cannady Roberson and was the widow of Jonathan Ezra Nunnery. She was a member of First Baptist Church Henderson. She was retired from Carolina Telephone Company and was co-owner of Nunnery-Freeman Inc Edna is survived by two sons, Glenn A Nunnery and wife, Edith of Henderson and Jonathan Keith Nunnery of the home. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Brent Sherwin Nunnery and a brother, Lawrence Cecil Roberson. She was also preceded in death by her dear friend over 20 years Lawrence (Larry) William Healy enjoyed traveling different parts of the world together. She loved being with her friends playing bridge and was a charter member of the Woodland Garden Club. A memorial service will be held October 19th, on her 95th birthday, at 2:00 P.M. in the Leather’s Chapel of First Baptist Church Henderson by Dr. Ron Cava. No grieving just rejoicing!
