HENDERSON- Edna Earl Hamm Strickland, age 65, a resident of 1033 S. Lake Lodge Road, died Friday, January 12, 2018, at her home.Born in Wilson County on September 24, 1952, she was the daughter of the late James Earl Hamm and Hazel Ruth Brown Hamm.
Edna was formerly employed as an Inspector at Americal.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ernest Bowes.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Thurston E. Strickland, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Angela Hamm Evans of Henderson; one son, Jeffrey E. Strickland (Melissa) of Youngsville; one sister, Vickie Hamm-Bergeron of Orlando, Florida; two brothers, Marty Hamm and Frank Hamm of Johnston County; six grandchildren; and one great grandson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Hamm.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be William Strickland, Andy Strickland, Michael Hamm, James Eatmon, Marc Adcox, and Wayne Long.
