LOUISBURG- Eileen "Edna" Stanley, 86, of Fuller Road, died Thursday, November 5, 2020 at her home.Born in Essex County, England on September 24, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Marie George Beeching and Charles Frederick Beeching and was the widow of Jack Furman Stanley.She was a former activities coordinator at Senior Citizens Nursing Home. She enjoyed craftworking and baking; her skilled needle work including things she knitted, cross stitched, sewed, embroidered and quilted are cherished by many.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by two daughters, Mary J. Stanley of Kittrell and Kelly Bridge of Henderson; a son, Michael Stanley of Louisburg; five grandchildren, David R. Stanley, Kristen L. Moss, A. Tyler Moss, Ashley N. Murphy (Conor) and Bryan M. Bridge; three great-grandchildren, Colt Stanley, Grey Stanley and Lucas Moss.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kirk F. Russell; and a sister, Ruth Barnett.
The family will receive friends following the service at J.M. White Funeral Home.Attendees at the service and visitation are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
