Elaine Gail Murray

Elaine Gail Murray, 70, a resident of Coble Blvd., died Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born on March 27, 1951 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Murray and Lois Evelyn Faucette Murray. She worked in the hotel industry for many years as a housekeeper. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jeff Prewer. She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Sue Steed and husband Tarius of Henderson; two sons, Michael Murray and wife Sandra and Timothy Murray all of Henderson; three grandchildren, Tarius “TJ” Steed, Jr., Cierra Gail Murray, and Jacob Murray; one sister, Peggy Fletcher and husband Johnny of Mt. Airy; and two brothers, Bobby Murray and wife Sandra and Randy Murray and wife Tina all of Henderson. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
