HENDERSON- Elena Josephine Walker, age 2 went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 13, 2014 due to injuries from an auto accident. Elena is the daughter ofBrett and Hannah Walker of Wake Forest.
Elena was born November 3, 2012 and lived her life to the fullest. She was a happy child who loved to read her books, dance, play with her dolls, and be with her family and her Lambie that she kept close by her side. Elena was a blessing from heaven, a beloved child that has left her footprints on our hearts forever.
Elena is survived by her parents Brett and Hannah Walker, her grandparents Tim and Diana Jolly of Taylorsville, and Rev. Tim and Debbie Burgess of Henderson, her great-grandparents Miller and Ruth Walker of Taylorsville and Eugene and Florence Ramsey of Chester, VA. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Steve Walker and her great-grandparents Rachel and Brett Patterson, and Ralph and Josephine Burgess.
A memorial service for Elena will be held on Wednesday, December 17th at 11:00 am at the Summit Churchs North Raleigh Campus, 5808 Departure Dr. Raleigh.The family kindly requests that all attending the memorial service wear happy colors because Elena truly was a happy child.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am till 10:45 am at the church.
