HENDERSON-Elizabeth Brewer Hayes, age 80, a resident of 1061 Tollie Weldon Road, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at her home.Born on March 9, 1932 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Garner Brewer and Virgie Stainback Brewer.She was the owner and operator of Commercial Investigating Service and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Donnie Perkinson and the Rev. Jonathan Owens.
She is survived by her husband, Perry Rooker Hayes of Henderson; one sister, Mattie Brewer Owens of Henderson; four nephews, Sam Owens, Jr. and wife, Margie of Durham, Brad Owens and wife, Susan of Kingsport, TN, Todd Owens and wife, Cindy, and Jonathan Owens and wife, Mindy of Henderson; niece, Dava Kopp and husband, Wayne; her loyal friend, Annie B. Coghill; and her devoted caregivers, Annette Jones, Shirley Jones, Metricia Talley, Maggie Wynne, Arnetta Evans, and Joyce Yarborough; and all family and friends who played a part in her care.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M.White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Jonathan and Mindy Owens at 15 Hayes Farm Road in the Epsom Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Scott Ayscue, Billy Richards, Gary Ayscue, Mike Hayes, Hill Smith, J. H. Smith, and Wayne Kopp.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o James Bowen, 1307 Walter Bowen Road, Henderson, NC27537.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
