HENDERSON-Elizabeth Finch “Lib” Coghill, 84, a resident of The Bridges on Parkview, died Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Duke University Hospital. Born March 12, 1941 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Wynne Finch and Thomas Harold Finch, Sr. and was the widow of Maurice Lee Coghill, Jr. Lib was a member of Fuller Chapel Christian Church and was a founding member of the Matthew 5:15 Club. She retired after more than 60 years working as a sales associate at J.C. Penny Department Store, Vance Brides and Touch of Class. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Fuller Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at Fuller Chapel Christian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Kim C. Clark (Scott) of Henderson; four sisters, Faye Granger and Vanessa F. Denton (V.W.), of Henderson, Barbara Inscoe (Mike) of Newport, and Nellie Grey Owen (Carl) of Summerville, GA; two brothers, Thomas H. Finch, Jr. (Priscilla) of Durham and Tex R. Finch of Kittrell; and her faithful companion “Izzy”. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuller Chapel Christian Church, 1470 N. Lynnbank Rd., Henderson, NC 27537.
