Elizabeth Rose Norwood

TOWNSVILLE-Elizabeth Rose Norwood, age 88, a resident of 15266 NC 39 North, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on April 21, 1925 in Shreveport, LA, she was the daughter of the late William P. Rose and Rubie Hughens Rose, and was the widow of Robert Alps Norwood.Mrs. Norwood was a homemaker and was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Kathryn R. Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond L. Norwood of Henderson and William Robert Norwood of Deltona, FL; one daughter, Rubie Suzanne N. Boisvert of Townsville; two brothers, Hardy Nicholas Roseof Prescott, AZand William Hughens Rose of Murphy, NC; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Wayne Norwood.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of Tabernacle United Methodist church.
