Ella Parrish Marks

Ella Parrish Marks, age 87, a resident of 808 S. Carolina Avenue, died Sunday, December 12, 2010, at Granville Medical Center. Born on January 22, 1923 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Earlie Parrish and Lillian Ramsey Parrish.Mrs. Marks was a member of South Henderson Church Of God where she was a member of the Senior Adult Class.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at South Henderson Church Of God by the Rev. Gary Harper and the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Liles and Tammy Ross of Henderson; one step son, Milton Marks of Henderson; two sisters, Magdalene P. Coker and Irish P. Pulley of Henderson; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Willard Marks.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at South Henderson Church of God.At other times they will be at the home of Ray and Sandra Liles, 319 Davis St. Henderson NC.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Ronnie Lassiter, Dwight Pulley, Milton Tart, Macon Abbott, Marion Perkinson,Kenneth Bowden,Curtis Powell and William Coker.
