Elsie Hardwick Simeone

OXFORD – Mrs. Elsie Hardwick Simeone, age 98, a resident of Old Roxboro Rd, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her home. Born on December 12, 1924 in Birkenhead, England she was the daughter of the late Hannah Molland Hardwick and George Hardwick and was the widow of Aldo Victorio Simeone. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and the Oxford Book Club, where she formerly served as President. Elsie and her husband Aldo owned and operated Chic Dry Cleaners in Bayside, Queens, New York Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Victor Blackwell and Pastor Vernon Wilkerson. Burial will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home and following the graveside service in the Fellowship Hall at Sharon Baptist Church. Elsie is survived by two daughters, Georgiana S. Diolosa of Garden City, NY and Cynthia S. Powell (Percy) of Oxford; two sons, Victor P. Simeone of Oxford and Christopher L. Simeone of Franklin TN; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and five great- great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded by three brothers, Teddy Goulborn, Jack Goulborn, and Albert Hardwick; one daughter-in-law, Angela Simeone; and one son-in-law, Joseph Diolosa; and one grandson Anthony Simeone. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Christopher Simeone, Carson Williams, Brandon Williams, Jesse Cubbedge, Michael Diolosa, Lee Powell, Tyler Simeone and Ethan Diolosa.
