HENDERSON- Mrs. Elsie Harris Strange, age 92, a resident of 368 West Hills Dr, died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born March 7, 1923 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Harris and Mary Byrd Harris.Mrs. Strange was a lifetime member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from Belk where she worked as a seamstress.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Frank Sossamon.
She is survived by two daughters, Drucilla S. Orr of Williston, SC and Donna S. Parrott and husband David of Henderson; a son, Ron Strange and wife Rhonda of Henderson; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Allen Strange.
The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday at Sunset Gardens.At other times they will be at the home, 368 West Hills Drive.
