Emily Harris Puckett, 88, a resident of Carey Chapel Road, died Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Maria Parham Health. Born on August 16, 1933 in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Perry Harris and Elizabeth James Harris and was the widow of Samuel Edgar Puckett. Mrs. Puckett was a member of Brown’s Baptist Church, and was a retired school bus driver for Aycock School Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at J. M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Jake Roberson. Burial will follow in the Brown’s Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Mike Hamm (Judy) of Henderson; one granddaughter, Kelly Hamm of Henderson; one great-grand dog, Bailey, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Barbour and Myrtle Harris; and four brothers, Roger Harris, Joe Harris, Clarence Harris, and Clifton Harris. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M White Funeral Home. Serving as active pall bearers will be Rick Harris, Mark Rowe, Mike Rowe, Wayne Harris, John Riggan, and Jay Carter. The family ask that anyone attending the Visitation or Funeral Service please wear appropriate face coverings.
