Emma Lee Sparks Hester

Emma Lee Sparks Hester, age 90, a resident of Ruin Creek Road, died Monday, November 23, 2015, at her home.Born in Omaha, Georgia on August 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George M. Sparks and Minnie Odom Sparks.
She was a retired Personnel Officer for the City Of Henderson and was a charter member of West Hills Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 11: 00 AM at West Hills Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Doug Addington.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her nephews, Chris Coleman of Tampa FL,Gary Tillotson and Danny Tillotson both of Henderson; one niece, Margaret Sparks Bolt of Morgantown WV.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Hester, Jr.; her sisters, Marcell Renn and Carrie Wheatley; two brothers, Frank Sparks and George Sparks; and her niece Vele Johnson.
The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at West Hills Presbyterian Church.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be the Elders of West Hills Presbyterian Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to West Hills Presbyterian Church, 1354 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC27537, or to a charity of ones choice.
