Esther Eggleston Aldrich

Esther Eggleston Aldrich, 89, a resident of Henderson, died Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Maria Parham Health.Born on July 22, 1930 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Henry Eggleston and Ethel Tingen Eggleston, and was the widow of Richard Henry "Buddy" Aldrich.She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the L. and F. Group at church. Esther was a volunteer at Maria Parham Hospital and enjoyed bowling.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 11:00 AM in the Garden at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bobby Fletcher. First United Methodist Church respectfully asks any attendees to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
She is survived by two daughters, Claudia Aldrich Hays of Raleigh and Lisa Aldrich Jenkins of Sanford; four sisters, Virginia Martin of Norlina, Marie Hayes and Mary Helen Grissom of Henderson, and Judy Bunn of Knightdale; one brother, James Eggleston of Hopewell, Virginia; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Eggleston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 114 Church Street, Henderson, NC27536.
