Esther Ayscue Perkinson

HENDERSON- Esther Marie Ayscue Perkinson, 89, of Pinewood Drive, died Monday, September 29, 2025 at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 26, 1936 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Nancy Ann Patterson Ayscue and Nathan Nathaniel Ayscue and was the widow of Reuben Joseph Perkinson, Jr. She retired from Americal.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Abbott. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.

Mrs. Perkinson is survived by her son, Darrell Wayne Perkinson (Shirley) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Jennifer Perkinson (Allen Pearce), Emily Green (Brian) and Megan Perkinson (Marco Velazquez), all of Henderson; four great grandchildren, Sadie Pearce, Justin Gregory, Wayne Velazquez and Isaac Velazquez; two sisters, Catherine Ellington of Cary and Edna Mosley of Henderson; and her brother, Wade Ayscue of Henderson.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Baker and Dorothy Seiple; and five brothers, Owen Ayscue, Linwood Ayscue, Sterling Ayscue, Bo Ayscue and Larry Ayscue, Sr.; and two infant brothers, Milton Ray Ayscue and Durwood Ayscue.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 12:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Darrell and Shirley Perkinson, 88 Pinewood Dr., Henderson NC 27537.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Rd. Henderson, NC 27536, to help the family with funeral expenses.
