HENDERSON- Eugene Ellis, age 70, a resident of 2155 Rock Mill Road, died Wednesday, February 8, 2013 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on October 14, 1942 in Vance County, he was the son of the late James A. Ellis and Lila Parham Ellis.He was a Veteran of the United States Marines and was a retired electrician from Clayton Homes.
Graveside memorial services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
He is survived by one son, Michael Ellis of Wilmington; two brothers, Charles Ellis, Sr. of Henderson, and Lester Ellis of Louisburg; one sister, Gayle E. Barett of Georgia; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eugene Ellis Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC27536.
