Eunice Wilkins Anstead

Eunice Wilkins Anstead, age 94, a resident of 324 Keene Street, died Saturday, December 4, 2010, at her home.Born on October 27, 1916 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Marshall Wilkins and Ella Mae Cannady Wilkins.
Mrs. Anstead attended the former North Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Anstead Boyd and Ruthie Anstead Ayscue of Henderson; two brothers, Otha P. Wilkins and Floyd H. Wilkins of Henderson; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and fifteen great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Steany Robert Anstead, Sr.; three children, Steany Robert Anstead, Jr., Willie Howard Anstead, and Betty Anstead Frazier; a sister, Pearl Wilkins Littleton; and a brother, James M. Wilkins.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:45 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at her home at 324 Keene Street.
Serving as active pall bearers will be her grandsons.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
