Eva Gail Smith-Grissom

HENDERSON- Eva Gail Smith-Grissom, 68, of New Bethel Church Road, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at her home. Born February 13, 1954 in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Louise Curtis Smith and George Edward Smith. She was formerly a nurse at Murdoch Center and Henderson Family Medicine and was the owner and photographer at “Images by Lucy.” Gail was a member of Spring Valley United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00 am by Rev. Johnny Yount. She is survived by her husband, Michael Dean “Mike” Grissom, Sr. of the home; a step daughter, Jana Grissom Schuller (John) of Rolesville; a step son, Michael Dean Grissom, Jr. (Beth) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Jessica Grissom, Justin Gray Grissom, Jordan Grace Schuller and Jillian Gray Schuller; two sisters, Karen S. Tingen (Terry) and Deborah S. Puckett (Steve) both of Oxford; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Elizabeth Smith. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Spring Valley United Methodist Church and at other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 529 Spring Valley Road, Henderson, NC 27537 .
