HENDERSON-Evelyn Diane Carter Hunt, age 65, a resident of 186 Joshua Lane, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 At Duke University Medical Center.Born in Nash County on February 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Clifton E. Carter, Sr.and Margaret Tucker Carter. She was retired from Continental Hosiery and attended Bethesda Missionary Church.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014, at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tim Short.Interment will follow in the Harris Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Hunt of the home; two daughters, Margaret Midge B. Smith and husband, Tim of Henderson and Kimberly Kim B. Yates and husband, William Bryan of Oxford; two sons, Kevin Ray Brame and wife, Ginger of Franklinton, and Calvin Ray Brame of South Carolina; one step-daughter, Syndal Huntof Garner; two sisters Janice C. Orr of Henderson and Shirley C. Journigan of Lexington; one brother, C. E. Carter, Jr. of Henderson;and her grandchildren, Kevin Brame, Jr., Amy N. Smith, Brandon Smith, Samantha R. Brame, Erica L. Brame, Austin R. Brame, Logan T. Brame, Lucas A. Brame, and Cassandra R. Brame.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Ray Brame; and a sister, M. Jeanette Carter.
The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 2 until 3 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 186 Joshua Lane in the Middleburg Community.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be to Easter Seals UCP, 2315 Myron Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607 in honor of Cassandra R. Brame.
