Fateena Abbott Gentry

HENDERSON- Fateena Juanita Abbott Gentry, 80, of Bill Bragg-Morton Road, died Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Avendale Assisted Living in Apex. Born April 29, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Carlston Hartford Abbott and Ossie Pearl Johnson Abbott and was the widow of James Lee Gentry. Fateena loved her family and especially her grandson Harrison. She enjoyed baking, arranging flowers and being active in church functions. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM in J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Mark Bateman. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Fateena is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Gentry; her grandson, Harrison Landon Gentry both of Cary; and her lifelong friends, Peggy and Joan. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday form 9:30 until 11:00 AM at J. M. White Funeral Home and Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the home of Alvin and Alice Johnson 223 N. Shank Street, Henderson NC 27536. Serving as pallbearers will be Carlton Wayne Anderson, Samual Thorne Gregory, Blake Tristan Goldberg, Chip Johnson, Kyle Abbott, and Austin Ramsey.
