RALEIGH- Alice Faye Norwood Moody, 82, of Neuse Village Court, formerly of Henderson, died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Rex Hospital.Born in Vance County on February 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Richard Norwood and Fitzalan Sparrow Norwood and was the widow of James Frazier Moody.Mrs. Moody was retired from Woolard’s Drug Store where she worked as a pharmacy technician and was a member of City Road United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Dan Baer.
She is survived by her daughter, Tamoria Faye Moody-Lare (Stephen) of Raleigh; her son, Ret. MSgt. Mitchell Bryan Moody (Kimberley) of Kathleen, GA; two granddaughters, Brianne Moody Poole (Christopher) and Ashlynne Michelle Moody; three great grandsons, Hunter Jase Poole, Oliver James Ryan Poole and Emerson Ray Poole; her brother, Richard Norwood (Joan); her sister, Sheila Norwood Finneron (Stephen); and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Norwood Luke.
Attendees at the service are asked to wear an appropriate face covering and practice social distancing.
