Faye Kerley Moss

KITTRELL – Faye Kerley Moss, 86, a resident of Egypt Mountain Road, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Maria Parham Health. Born January 31, 1940 in Suffolk Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Ralph Kerley and Ladie Barnes Kerley and the widow of Richard Waymon Moss.

She was a member of Union Chapel Church of Kittrell where she was a former Sunday School teacher for many years, and was formerly a part of the Senior Group at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a former Girl and Boy Scout Leader, and a member of the Home Demonstration Club in Vance County where she was named Vance County Woman of The Year, and Vance County Volunteer of The Year.

A graveside funeral service will be Monday, April 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Union Chapel Church of Kittrell Cemetery by the Rev. Radford Frazier. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. At other times they will be at the home of Dale and Audery Moss.

She is survived by her children, Dale Moss (Audrey), Chris Moss (Annette) and Elizabeth M. Wilson; four grandchildren, Steven Moss (Kristy), Philip Moss (Christin), Chad Moss (Joey), and Bobbi M. Parks; Also, six great-grandchildren, Jordyn Moss, Madisyn Moss, Austin Moss, Rylee Moss, Jackson Parks and Waylon Parks. Also surviving are her brothers, Ralph Kerley, Jr. (Patricia), and Ronnie Kerley (Wendy).

She was preceded in death by her sister Sylvia Kerley Mitchell.

The family would like to thank the staff at Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care she was given.
