HENDERSON- Mrs. Ferebee Forsythe Weldon, age 88, a resident of 103 Weldon Way, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home.Born on August 15, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Marshall Henry Skipper Forsythe and Flora Kelly Forsythe.
She was the owner of Skipper Forsyths BBQ Restaurant and a member of First Baptist Church Henderson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 PM at First Baptist Church by Dr. Ronald S. Cava and Dr. Marion D. Lark.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina W.Ellis and husband Charles of Henderson; two sons, Dean Weldon and wife, Gail of Emerald Isle and Tommy Weldon of Henderson; three grandchildren, Allen Ellis and wife Tiffany, Jamie W. Stewart and husband Garth, and Marshall Tollie Weldon; a grandson-in-law, James Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Payton Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Ali Grace Ellis, Emma Ellis, Jackson Stewart and Luke Stewart; and three sisters-in-law, Betty Brooks Faulkner of Knightdale, Doris W. Renn of Raleigh and Elaine W. Fuller of Salisbury.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tollie Henry T.H. Weldon; a granddaughter, Shannon W. Phillips; and two sisters-in-law, Jane W. Ayscue and Blanche W. Jackson.
The family will receive friends at J.M. White Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 PM.At other times they will be at the home. Serving as active pall bearers will be James Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Allen Ellis, Garth Stewart, Tollie Weldon, and Danny Wilkerson.
The family would like to express gratitude to Mrs. Weldons caregivers, Thelma Vaughan, Annie Allen, Josephine Talley and Louise Williams.
