Fleeta Clary Wood Edwards

HENDERSON-Fleeta Clary Wood Edwards, age 88, a resident of 1245 Park Avenue, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on October 6, 1926 in Northampton County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Allen Clary and Cora Ray Clary.Mrs. Edwards was a retired Registered Nurse, and was a member of Mt Carmel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Edwin Nelson Wood of the Philippines; three daughters, Rachel E. Hedrick and husband, Vic, Ruth Edwards, and Rebecca Anne Edwards all of Henderson; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her longtime, faithful, and loyal caregiver, Virginia Davis.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. John Wood and Edgar Marvin Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 am at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Rachel and Vic Hedrick at 150 Dorsey Place after 5:30 PM in the evening.
