-Fletcher Thomas Tommy Moss, age 72, a resident of 715 New Bethel Church Road, died Thursday, July 07, 2011, at his home.Born in Franklin County on September 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Roy Fletcher Moss and Grace Stainback Moss.Mr. Moss was a retired farmer, a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, and was a former member of the North Carolina National Guard.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at New Bethel Baptist Church by the Rev. Cleveland Harrison.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by one sister, Jo Ann M. Harris of Henderson; one brother, Billy J. Moss of Henderson; one nephew Billy J. Moss, II; three nieces, Louella M. Venable, Joy L. Moss, and Anita M. Spangler; four great nephews; and one great niece.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of New Bethel Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home at 715 New Bethel Church Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Billy Jay Moss, II, Charles Venable, David Smith, Walter Renn, J. H. Smith, and Roger Bibee.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 914, Henderson, N. C.27536.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
