HENDERSON- Flo Lee Wilson Bailey, 91, died Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Franklin Manor.Born in Wake County September 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Katie Lee Wilson and James Parker Wilson and was the widow of Cullen Bunn Bailey, Jr.Mrs. Bailey retired from Hill’s Music Shoppe where she worked alongside her family for over 40 years. She was a member of the former West Hills Presbyterian Church, P.C.A., of Henderson. For a time, she led community Bible studies and regularly did prison ministry in Bunn and Warrenton.
Following a private burial at Sunset Gardens, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Clearview Church on October 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM and will be officiated by her nephew, Jimmy Chalmers of Atlanta, GA.
Flo loved her family and she lived many years to enjoy her "blessing of girls."
She is survived by her daughter, Pat B. Hill and husband, Darrell, of Henderson; three granddaughters, Samantha H. Reavis and husband, Cliff, Tiffany H. Stone and husband, Matthew and Oliva H. Fong and husband, Chi; three great granddaughters, Mikayla Stone, Natalie Stone and Jillian Stone; and two sisters, Joyce W. Chalmers of Columbus, GA and Marguerite B. Carlton, of Raleigh.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lera W. O’Neal, Lou B. Turner, and Nolie W. Chalk; and three brothers, Alma Wilson, Bland Wilson and Raymond Wilson.
Anyone wishing to view Mrs. Bailey may do so on Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at Clearview beginning at 10:15 AM on Friday and at other times at the home of Pat and Darrell Hill.
