Florence Brennan Young

HENDERSON- Word has been received of the passing of Florence Brennan Young on September 8, 2022 at Duke University Medical Center. Florence was born June 18, 1944 in Salamanca, NY, the daughter of the late Leo Joseph and Gladys Bertha Touro Brennan. At St. Mary’s Church in Little Valley on August 31, 1963 she was married to David Laurence Young who survives. She is also survived by children, Thomas Andrew Young of Roanoke, VA, Susan Marie Young Pitt of Mechanicsville, VA, and Sandy Evans Young of Hartfield, VA; grandchildren, Taylor Christine Young of Richmond, VA and Connor Charles Young of Norfolk, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Colby Chance Pitt. Flo loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved crafts and making many things as gifts. She liked to sail on the Bic Banana at Onavile Lake or in the Adirondacks. She also was an avid golfer winning the President’s Cup at Elkdale Country Club three times. With Rosemarie Angilella they won the Member Guest at Long Bay Country club in South Carolina. Flo and her son, Tom, got hole-in-ones during the same round at Henderson Country Club. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 274 Broad St., Salamanca, NY.
