WARRENTON- Fonzie Earl Flowers, age 73, a resident of 304 Rogers Street in Warrenton, died Tuesday, February 07, 2017 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Wilson County on February 17, 1943 he was the son of the late Wilbur Albert Flowers and Virginia Whitley Flowers.He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam.Fonzie was a retired Alcohol Law Enforcement Agent and former Warren County Sheriffs Deputy.He attended New Hope Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Henry Abbott and Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by three daugthers, Brenda F. Dickerson and husband Billy, and Tammy E. Flowers both of Henderson and Kimberly F. Lee and husband Rodney of Warrenton; his son, Fonzie A. Flowers and wife Cindy Jo of Younsville; his longtime companion, Jeanette Fleming; her son Benjie Fleming (Tanya)of Henderson; and ten grandchildren, Trey Dickerson, Jae Dickerson, Bailey Daeke, Braxton Daeke, Fonzie Flowers, Graycen Flowers, Landon Flowers, Ethan Fleming, Kenny Fleming and Nathan Fleming.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Collie Flowers.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P. M. till 8:00 P.M at J.M.White Funeral Home.
At other times they will be at the home of Fonzie and Cindy Jo Flowers, 305 Blue Heron Drive, Youngsville, NC 27596.
Serving as active pallbearers will be David Williams Jr., John Patterson, Steve Reese, Kenny Abbott, Kevin Tart and Robert Grissom. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tony Rash and Kenny Fleming.
