Frances Elizabeth Abbott

HENDERSON- Miss Frances Elizabeth Abbott, 93, a resident of Stewart Farm Rd., passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at Brookdale Home Health in Cary. Born June 2, 1931 in Vance Co., she was the daughter of the late E. M. Abbott and Lucy West Abbott. She was a member of Carey Baptist Church and a retired School Teacher and Principal in the Cumberland Co. School System. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Carey Baptist Church by Pastor Michael Mahan. A private burial will be held for the family in the church cemetery. Miss Abbott is survived by one sister, Patricia A. Ellington of Henderson and one brother, Thurston Abbott and wife Willie of Henderson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Carey Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home of Mrs. Patricia Ellington, 1960 Stewart Farm Rd.
