Frances Currin Dodson

Frances Currin Dodson, age 54, a resident of 311 Washout Road, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on April 21, 1956 in Vance County, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Morris Currin of Henderson and the late Henry Clements Currin.She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gwen Bear Dodson. She was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and worked with children in Vacation Bible School.She was also an active member of R.E.A.C.T., of which she had served as a past Secretary and Treasurer.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 7:30 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jonathan Owens.A private burial will be held by the family in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three brothers, Rick Currin of Kearney, Lynn Currin and Paul Currin of Epsom.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 7:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Rick and Pat Currin at 5704 US 401 North, Louisburg.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Vance County R.E.A.C.T., P.O. Box 317 Henderson, N.C. 27536 or to New Bethel Baptist Church, Childrens Church Fund c/o Deborah Woodlief, 1149 Massenburg Road, Henderson, N.C. 27537.
