Frank Leo Bissette, age 79, a resident of 312 Vanco Mill Road, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at his home.Born in Nash County on June 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Edward Red Cap Bissette and Ruby Cooley Bissette.Frank was retired from Americal and was a member of Freedom Life Church of God.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:00 Noon at Freedom Life Church of God by the Rev. Jeff Prewer and Joshua Currin.Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Langley Bissette of the home; five daughters, Elizabeth Boyd of Oxford, Annie Williamson, Queenie Champion, Teresa Currin all of Henderson, and Felisa Stevenson of Kittrell; one son, Billy Brake of Oxford; one brother, Gerald Bissette of Middlesex, NC; twenty-four grandchildren, including Cop. Austin Frank Stevenson serving in Iraq; forty-three great grandchildren; and fifteen great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Franklin; and four brothers, Willis Bissette, Ray Bissette, Walter Bissette, and Bobby Bissette.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon at Freedom Life Church of God.At other times they will be at the home at 312 Vanco Mill Road, Henderson.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Brian Boyd, Logan Matthews, William Currin, Jr., Joshua Currin, James Alexander, Jr., David Williamson, Matthew Boyd, Luis Boyd, Eric Hobgood, Harry Orr, and James Williamson, Jr.
