Gail Hicks Tucker

HENDERSON-Marilyn Gail Hicks Tucker, 63, of the Dabney community, died Saturday October 28 th , 2023, suddenly, yet peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Norman Tucker, III; sister, Donna Joy Hicks and father, Nathan "Stumpy" Hicks; maternal grandparents, Julian and Hazel Whitley and paternal grandparents, Otis and Grace Hicks. Gail leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Cassidy Tucker of Charlotte; mother, Maxine Whitley Hicks of Zebulon; sister-in-law, Betty Brooks Tucker Boyd and husband, Glenn of Dabney; aunt Justine Jolly of Zebulon; uncles Tommy Whitley and Rex Whitley and wife, Gwen, of Middlesex. To her friends, she was the friend of a lifetime. She would help anyone or anything, even to a fault. She lived a simple life and loved hard. May Gail’s memory be a blessing to all who knew her and to all who loved her. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 1st at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Mark L. Hopper at the Wilkinson-Tucker Family Cemetery located at 1980 Dabney Road, Henderson, NC. Memorials may be made to Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, 165 US-158 BYP, Henderson, NC 27537. The family asked that everyone attending the service please dress comfortably for an outdoor service.
