HENDERSON- Gale Ayscue Fleming, 69, of Renn Lane, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at her home. Born April 30, 1956 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Nettie Jean Ellington Ayscue and Billie Tucker Ayscue, Sr. and was the widow of Robert Gray Fleming. Gale loved being outside and especially enjoyed fishing and mowing the grass. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. In her eyes, her family came first and she had a heart of gold. She was an Inspector at the former Southern Quilters.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Jeff Prewer.
Gale is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Moss Ward and wife, Shannon of Norfolk; her son, W.A. Bowes, Jr. and wife, Nicole of Henderson; her brother, Billie T. Ayscue, Jr. of Henderson; her good friend, and Priscilla’s father, Michael W. Moss of Henderson; her nephew, “Pookie” Dennis West, Jr.; her niece, Kari West; her step-granddaughter, She-lia Ward; and her step grandson, Rayzon Ward.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Dale A. Abbott, her sister, Carolyn Ayscue and her brother, Stacey Albert Ayscue.
The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens on Wednesday.
