Gayle Melton Wilson

HENDERSON- Linda Gayle Melton Wilson, 77, of Ridgepath Lane, died Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Cadence of Wake Forest. Born August 8, 1947 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Stallings Melton and William Daniel “Bill” Melton. Gayle was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from Rose Oil Company where she was a bookkeeper. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Johnny Yount. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. Gayle is survived by two sons, Frederick Hugh “Rick” Wilson, III of New Haven, CT and Daniel Holland Wilson and wife, Elizabeth of Youngsville; and two grandsons, John Holland Wilson and Daniel Thomas Wilson. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home; and at other times at the home of Dan and Elizabeth Wilson, 7196 Hwy 96 W, Youngsville, NC 27596. Serving as active pallbearers will be Matt Frazier, Wayne Yount, Andy Melton, Mike Melton, Brent Farmer and Brian Cash. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Grant Smith, John Stallings, Ricky Stallings, Donald Ray Matthews and Ray Wilkins. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
