Gaynard Lee Allison, age 80, a resident of 44 Pine View Road, died Monday, July 04, 2011, at his home.Born on January 27, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles Z. Allison and Firm Hix Allison.Mr. Allison was a Veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve. He was a retired commercial construction Supervisor and a member of South Henderson Church Of God.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9th, at 2:00 pm at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Burgess.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Gilbert Allison of the home; four daughters, Nancy Piatt of Benson, NC, NannetteHoneycutt of Henderson, NC, Gwen. Allison of Dayton, OH, and RebeccaAl Nasa of Youngsville, NC; three sons, Elliott Allison of Columbus, OH, Michael Allison of Nashville, TN, and Jon David Allison of Salisbury, NC; five brothers, Paul Allison and Roger Allison of Dayton, OH, Robert Allison of La Follette, TN, Charles Allison and Harley Allison of Holiday, FL; fourteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by one son, Gaynard Lee Allison, Jr.
The family will receive friends Saturday following the service in the Fellowship Hall of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
