WHITAKERS-Genevieve Duke Moss, age 90, a resident of 12820 Bellamy Mill Road, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation in Rocky Mount, NC.Born on November 28, 1922 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late James H. Duke, Sr. and Mary Ella Blackley Duke.Mrs. Moss was a member of Raleigh Road Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Grey Rock United Methodist Church by the Rev. Brett W. Marlowe
She is survived by one brother, James Hal Duke, Jr. of Whitakers.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Moss; and one sister, Julia Elizabeth Fuller.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Raleigh Road Baptist Church, 3892 Raleigh Road, Henderson, NC27537 or to Grey Rock United Methodist Church, c/o Jason Hockaday, 3692 Cannady Mill Road, Kittrell, NC27544.
